‘Telling the time with Big Ben‘ power point is a fun way to introduce an English monument and tell the time.
During the lesson the teacher uses a tape measure to measure the classroom and the kids height so they get an idea about how big the parts of the tower and the clock really are. Using the tape measure also gets the kids practising maths, for example “The window in the classroom is 120 cm. wide. How many metres are 120 cm?”
At the end of the power point the children practise telling the time with the clock faces.
